Changelog
v1.11

OCR

Improved OCR error handling and response parsing for receipt scanning. Reduced “empty” results in common low-light images.

AI Output

Cleaner response rendering: removes markdown artifacts and presents the result as readable paragraphs.

Feedback

Added clearer in-app status messaging when a tool runs. Results are shown in a consistent output area.

Icons

Updated AI tool icons to better match each task and feel more modern across the app.

Mobile UI

Improved spacing and scrolling so panels remain usable on small screens without awkward clipping.

Privacy

Continued alignment with local-first defaults. Your writing stays on your device unless you choose otherwise.

Tip: If OCR results look incomplete, try a flatter photo with even lighting and keep the receipt fully inside the frame.

Known issues

We keep this list short and honest. If something affects your workflow, it belongs here.

OCR quality depends on the photo
Very crumpled receipts or extreme glare can still reduce accuracy. We’re continuing to tune the extraction prompts and preprocessing.
IN PROGRESS
Some imports may vary by device
On a small set of devices, file pickers may behave differently depending on Android versions and permissions.
MONITORING
If you hit a bug, include: device model, Android version, what you expected, and what happened. That’s the fastest way to reproduce and fix.
Next up
Write without compromise.
Upcoming work stays focused on: faster imports, cleaner export pipelines, more reliable scan flows, and continued UI/UX refinements — without sacrificing local-first principles.
